As I sit here contemplating the jump start of business and the economy that is beginning, I wonder about the new and old habits I will have to break going forward.

Some quick examples:

NEW HABIT – not wearing pants and shoes during the workday

OLD HABIT – handshakes and friendly hugs before meetings

The world has changed, in some ways for the better.  I honestly believe my Business Travel Budget line might go down, not every meeting has to be in person.  Personal connections might be harder with social distancing but will mean more.  Masks instead of socks as a fashion statement (that is ok, I was never that good at the sock one and my collection of Marvel and Looney Tunes inspired masks are great conversation starters).

I do not know how many of you have been tested for the virus.  I will say this, (for those of you that have been tested  you know what I mean here) when the Q-Tip touched my brain in that 30 seconds I realized I had so much to think about (must have caused an unused synapsis to fire) related to what will be acceptable and not acceptable in this new reality.

No matter what the approach in your geography is to the upcoming start-ups we will all be going through, this much I know, no matter how you choose to enter the post lock down world, be smart, be safe and be healthy.
